Meet us at INFORMS in Houston, Texas

Gurobi Optimization will be presenting and exhibiting at the 2017 INFORMS Annual Meeting. This conference will be held October 22nd - October 25th in the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas, in the United States. We'll be sending out more information as we get closer to the conference. Register with us if you haven't already done so and also be sure to register to attend the conference.

Gurobi Optimization will be very active at this INFORMS Conference, with a technology workshop, software tutorial and an exhibit booth. This is a great opportunity for those interested in learning more about the significant performance enhancements and new features in the recent Gurobi version 7.5 release.

Plenary Session Optimization: Past, Present, Future
Presented by Presented by: Dr. Robert Bixby, Chief Strategy Officer and Co-founder, Gurobi Optimization
Location Hilton – Ballroom of the Americas, Level 2
Time Monday, October 23rd, 10:00am to 10:50am

For the vast majority of business applications, optimization means linear and mixed-integer programming. Beginning with Dantzig’s simplex method in 1947, optimization experienced a slow, uneven period of development into the mid 1980s. Then, beginning in the late 1980s, developments ensued that completely transformed optimization and its applications, driven by truly remarkable performance improvements in the underlying solvers. What’s coming next may be even more exciting. Driven by an explosion in available business data, a new broad corporate focus on extracting value from that data, increased computing power, and the continually expanding power of optimization solvers, optimization promises to become an indispensable tool in managing the modern enterprise.

Tutorial Optimization with R
Presented by Dr. Renan Garcia, Sr. Optimization Support Engineer, Gurobi Optimization
