Sara earned Bachelor’s Degree from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. After graduation in 2008, she took an administrative operations role in the death care industry. After 9 years, she decided to change industries and joined Gurobi Optimization in September 2018 as an administrative operations specialist. Her background includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, team management, and data organization to name a few. In her spare time, she is an active volunteer leader with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Currently acting as the social media chair for the Portland Affiliate, which involves fostering constructive discussions and a sense of community for people that have been affected by Pancreatic Cancer and inspiring more people to get involved. Sara is an avid reader, and enjoys science fiction, mysteries, thrillers, and many more genres. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two-year-old son. In the summer, she likes to go hiking in the Columbia Gorge and Mount Hood National Forest. She loves to travel, some of her more adventurous travel includes a Safari through Tanzania, sailing off the coast of Turkey, Italy, Spain, canoeing in the Amazon Rain Forest in Ecuador, exploring the Galapagos Islands, practicing yoga in Bali, and hopes to travel to Asia and Australia soon.
