Every installation of gurobipy—whether installed with pip or conda—includes a free size-limited license, so you can build and test models immediately. It's intended for non-production use, including learning, prototyping, evaluating, and exploring mathematical optimization with Gurobi.
Models are limited to 2,000 variables and 2,000 linear constraints (or 200 variables for models with quadratic terms).

Named-User License
Tied to one person on one machine. Right for a solo developer or analyst running models locally.
Single-Machine License
Tied to a machine, not a person. Designed for servers running automated optimization jobs.
Single-Use License
Allows one concurrent optimization solve on one machine at a time. Best suited for single-machine deployments with limited concurrency requirements.
Floating License
A central Token Server manages shared concurrent access across networked machines. Ideal for teams and applications that share optimization resources.
Compute Server License
Runs optimization jobs on dedicated servers with built-in load balancing and queuing. Designed for teams and applications running many optimization jobs simultaneously, either on-premises or in the cloud.
Web License Service (WLS)
Cloud-managed licensing with no Token Server to install or maintain. Ideal for cloud-native and containerized deployments, including Docker and Kubernetes.
Gurobi Instant Cloud
