Friday, May 30, 2025

8:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Grand Hyatt São Paulo

We’re thrilled to be hosting an exclusive, free in-person event that promises to be a powerhouse of learning, sharing, and networking. Whether you’re a seasoned Gurobi user or just curious about what optimization can do for you, this event is your gateway to a world of possibilities.

Presentation topics include: Gurobi's Hidden Gems and Non Linear API Improvements, Use Cases, Practical Guidelines for Model Improvement and Reformulation, and Q&A.

Agenda

Time

Session

8:00AM - 9:00AM

Registration & Coffee

Kick off the event with a warm welcome during the registration and coffee session. Attendees will check in, receive event materials, and have the opportunity to network in a relaxed setting. Enjoy a fresh cup of coffee while connecting with peers before the sessions begin.

9:00AM - 10:00AM

Gurobi's Hidden Gems and Non Linear API Improvements

In this presentation, we will review powerful features that are part of the Gurobi Optimizer which can be used to take your applications to the next level. We provide tools to make it easy to incorporate multiple objectives, scenario analysis, nonlinear functions, and more into your optimization models. There are also features like warm starts and variable partitioning that can enhance the solver performance. We will also describe the latest changes to our API, which will allow you to define multi variate non linear functions, which in turn will be handled directly, without piece-wise linear approximations.

10:00AM - 11:00AM

Gurobi Use Case

Explores a real-world application case, highlighting their unique challenges, innovative solutions, and the impact of the implementation. We will analyze key decision points, technological adaptations, and measurable outcomes that drove success.

11:00AM - 11:15AM

Break

11:15AM - 12:15PM

Practical Guidelines for Model Improvement and Reformulation

In this presentation, we will share insights and lessons learned from helping Gurobi customers from a wide range of industries adjust their optimization models to improve solver performance and numerical behavior. We will look at the challenges that we see most often in LP, MIP and MINLP models, and discuss our approach and typical recommendations to help address them. We will also consider some well-known modeling “rules of thumb” and discuss how applicable they are at present.

12:15PM - 1:15PM

Gurobi Use Case

This presentation delves into a customer-driven application case, showcasing their specific challenges, tailored solutions, and the transformation achieved. Gain valuable insights into best practices and lessons learned from this impactful case study.

1:15PM - 2:30PM

Lunch

2:30PM - 3:30PM

Q&A, Wrap up

The event will conclude with an interactive Q&A, allowing attendees to engage, clarify key points, and discuss insights. This will be followed by a concise wrap-up, summarizing key takeaways and highlighting. Thank you for your participation!

If you have any questions, please reach out to Manuel Rassi, Gurobi Account Director - LATAM, at rassi@gurobi.com.
