David Torres Sanchez
Mathematical Optimization QA Engineer
David received his PhD in Operations Research from Lancaster University (UK) in 2019. The topic was aircraft maintenance scheduling and recovery. Since then, David has held research positions at SINTEF Digital (Norway) and Lancaster University, where he has worked on a varied range of combinatorial optimization problems from vehicle routing to multicommodity flow problems.
In his spare time he enjoys bouldering, riding his mountain bike, and maintaining and contributing to several open-source projects.
Iulia Turcan
Senior Marketing Manager, Academic Programs
Iulia has 10 years of experience working with marketing teams within the European academic space. Prior to Gurobi she has worked at one of the UKs leading institutions - Nottingham Trent University - overseeing the digital marketing and events strategy for creative technologies academic programmes, focusing on subjects such as virtual production, esports and sound engineering.
Born in Romania and having lived in Nottingham, UK for the past 13 years, she enjoys travelling, plane spotting and is a vinyl record collector.
