Jeffrey D. Camm is the Inmar Presidential Chair in Analytics in the Wake Forest University School of Business. He earned his PhD in Management Science from Clemson University and a BS in Mathematics from Xavier University (Ohio). Prior to joining Wake Forest, Dr. Camm held the Joseph S. Stern Chair in Business Analytics in the Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati, where he holds a lifetime appointment as a Fellow of the Graduate School. He has been a visiting professor at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and the School of Engineering at Stanford University. A firm believer in practicing what he preaches, he has consulted for numerous corporations including among others, Procter and Gamble, Owens Corning, GE, Duke Energy, Tyco, Ace Hardware, Starbucks, Road Runner Sports, Brooks Running Shoes and Kroger. His work in supply chain optimization with Procter & Gamble was an Edelman Award Finalist and is credited with helping P&G save over $250,000,000 annually in their North American supply chain. He was co-recipient of the 2025 Association of Environmental and Resource Economists Publication of Enduring Quality Award for the 1998 paper “Species Distributions, Land Values, and Efficient Conservation,” published in Science. In 2016, Professor Camm received the Kimball Medal for service to the Operations Research profession and in 2017 he was named an INFORMS Fellow. Known for his pragmatic views on optimization and its impact, he has spoken at universities, conferences, and industry events including among others, presentations at Procter & Gamble, Kroger, Duke Energy, and Amazon. He is coauthor of ten textbooks in the areas of business statistics, management science and analytics including the market-leading Business Analytics 5e with Cengage Publishing.
