He completed his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo, Canada, where his research work was focused on using different optimization techniques applied to the optimal use of hydro and thermal units.

Dr. Cara Touretzky holds a BChE from University of Delaware and PhD in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. During her graduate work she studied dynamic optimization and model-based process control, with applications ranging from HVAC system automation to production scheduling for chemical processes.
