Presentation Abstract:
Many retail companies use discounts to stand out in a saturated, hyper-competitive market. The Discount Policy Optimization that Veltys offers uses data, statistics, and algorithms to help customers gain up to +10% of turnover, sales, and margin.
This optimization technique is based on a bespoke econometric modeling of demand, which predicts the effect of discounts on sales. Based on the results of this modeling, the optimization algorithm determines among all the possible rate combinations the one maximizing the business objectives while respecting the imposed business constraints.
