Developing optimization models and making them run successfully frequently depends on the ability to efficiently resolve a handful of potentially time-consuming issues. In this Holiday Tech Talk, we will dive into some very unexpected ways of how Gurobi or applications that called it behaved, be it due to a mistake in the code, creative use of the solver by our users, numerical issues, or something else. We will investigate these examples of Grinch-like behavior that attempt to sabotage the timely completion of the optimization task and examine how they were efficiently identified and solved.
