Gurobi Customers Report Gurobi 10.0’s Pandas Integration a “Game Changer”

Following the release, customers have reported that the new version is already helping them harness the power of mathematical optimization and prescriptive analytics in new ways.

In particular, customers are talking about the new gurobipy-pandas convenience wrapper for building optimization models from pandas data. This open-source project makes it easy and efficient for pandas users to build mathematical models from data stored in DataFrames and Series, and to read solutions back directly as pandas objects.

• Enterprise Development and Deployment Experience: To make Gurobi Optimizer even more accessible and easy to use, the team has integrated new tools for model development, monitoring, and advanced diagnosis, including significant enhancements to the matrix-friendly API in gurobipy, an expanded Web License Service (WLS), and new monitoring capabilities for both the Cluster Manager and WLS.
