Gurobi Launches a New Academic Program Designed to Give Faculty and Students Access to State-of-the-Art Math Programming Tools

We recently launched our new academic program.  The program is designed to give faculty and students easy access to state-of-the-art math programming tools for teaching and research.

The program has three main components.  The first is a free, unrestricted Gurobi license for academic users on computers that are regularly connected to academic domains (e.g. “.edu”). Faculty and students can obtain as many free licenses as they like, and the process is entirely automated.  The only restriction is that you must verify your academic domain at least once every two weeks.

The second component of our new program is a size-limited version of the Gurobi Solver with no domain validation requirement. Apart from the size limits, this version includes the full Gurobi functionality and is well suited for teaching.

The third component of our program is a low-cost ($2500), unlimited use floating license.  This license allows an unlimited number of simultaneous uses of Gurobi from machines that are connected to the university network.  To purchase an unlimited use floating license, please see the Gurobi price list, which can be accessed through your account on the Gurobi website.
