Gurobot provides instant support responses and serves as the default entry point for assistance, allowing users to easily escalate a conversation into a pre-populated support ticket for human assistance when needed. It also unifies access to Gurobi resources, eliminating the need to navigate multiple systems.
All Gurobi Portal users can access Gurobot. Simply log into your Gurobi User Portal and accept the usage terms. If you don’t have an account, you can create one at no cost. Usage of Gurobot is free of charge.
Yes. Gurobot is deployed on the Gurobi Cloud Services platform hosted on AWS. Data exchanged with Gurobot is encrypted on the wire and at rest. For more information, please refer to our privacy policy and terms of service.
Gurobot specializes in the use cases listed above, but is able to respond to a broader set of questions. It has restrictions on response complexity and size, as well as daily usage, built in. While it will help you with optimization modeling, it might not be able to translate a large model to gurobipy.
We have moved the new Gurobot over to its new home, the Gurobi User Portal. This was necessary to enable a number of the enhancements listed above. The previous Gurobot and its two siblings will not receive any further updates. They continue to be available for now, but will be retired over time.
Unlike external chatbots, Gurobot is fully integrated with Gurobi services, enabling it to deliver more targeted, context-aware responses—including direct links to relevant documentation. It is continuously evaluated and improved to ensure answer quality, and it protects against the degradation risks that can occur with third-party LLM updates.
Gurobot can answer API questions, generate code snippets, diagnose issues, and provide modeling suggestions. The embedded LLM is designed to respond to a wide range of technical queries, and its current version has been validated to provide reliable, expert-level guidance.
For commercial customers, Gurobot is integrated with the Gurobi support system and can automatically summarize the conversation to submit a support ticket when escalation is needed.

No. Gurobot enhances Gurobi’s support offering by addressing common issues and escalating when needed.
No. Tuning requires extensive experimentation, which is not supported at this point. However, there are plans for this feature to be implemented in the future.
Gurobot indicates sources whenever possible, increasing transparency and user confidence.

Gurobot uses Claude Foundation Model by Anthropic on AWS Bedrock for enhanced control and security compared to ChatGPT-based bots.
Along with delivering expert advice, technical insights, and easier access to Gurobi in the growing GenAI ecosystem, Gurobot can record user feedback that will be used to improve the system.
Yes. Feedback is encouraged, and can be provided in real-time with simple “thumbs-up”/”thumbs-down” icons directly in the chat.
